Deli Roll
This has got to be one of my most popular recipes. I originally shared this recipe on TikTok and let’s just say: I have reached a mediocre level of Tiktok fame. People went OFF on the comments when I mentioned duck sauce — apparently duck sauce is not widely known. Duck sauce can be found in the Asian aisle at most major grocery stores or at Chinese American takeout restaurants. You can also substitute duck sauce with sweet chili sauce, sweet and sour, or apricot jam.
Ingredients
Puff pastry dough
Spicy brown mustard
Deli meat
Sliced cheese
1 egg, beaten
Duck sauce or sweet and sour sauce or sweet chili sauce or apricot jam
Optional: bagel seasoning
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350F.
Lay down a sheet of thawed pastry dough onto a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet or shallow casserole dish.
Spread spicy brown mustard onto the pastry dough.
Lay down any deli meat and cheese you prefer. I like pastrami and muenster cheese but you can use whatever you want.
Roll it up.
Brush with egg, then sauce.
Add a sprinkle of bagel seasoning if using.
Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour until brown. Enjoy!
